Psychotherapy

Dr. Freedenthal provides psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. Although she helps people with a wide range of needs, Dr. Freedenthal specializes in helping individuals at risk for suicide or other self injury, as well as individuals and families with a loved one who died by suicide.

Consultation

Mental health agencies and individual professionals receive consultation from Dr. Freedenthal on topics related to suicide risk assessment and interventions. She also provides legal consultation in cases involving suicide.

Education

Dr. Freedenthal teaches graduate students and mental health professionals on topics such as suicide risk assessment, crisis intervention, mental health assessment, the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
